This Privacy Policy describes how blipJar LLC ("blipJar," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the blipJar application, website, browser extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Name, email address, username, and password when you create an account.
- Payment Information: Billing name, billing address, and payment card details. Payment transactions are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
- User-Generated Content: Files, projects, drawings, text, images, and any other content you create, upload, or store through the Service.
- Communications: Information you provide when you contact us for support, submit feedback, or participate in surveys.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken, time and date of visits, session duration, and referring URLs.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type and version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Location Data: Approximate location based on IP address. We do not collect precise geolocation without your consent.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies, local storage, pixel tags, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, and analyze usage. See Section 7 for details.

blipJar may introduce AI-powered features in the future. When AI features become available:
- We will clearly disclose which features use AI or machine-learning technologies.
- User-generated content processed by AI features will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
- We will not use your content to train general-purpose AI models without your explicit opt-in consent.
- You will be able to opt out of AI-powered features where technically feasible.
We will update this Privacy Policy before launching any AI features to provide specific details on data handling.
4. How We Share Your Information

We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing (Stripe), hosting, analytics, customer support, and email delivery. 5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
blipJar is committed to protecting the privacy of children. Portions of our Service are available to users under the age of 13 ("Child Users"). We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") and applicable international laws regarding children's privacy.
5.1 Parental Consent
We require verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from Child Users. A parent or legal guardian must create or approve the child's account. We may use reasonable methods to verify parental consent, including email confirmation, signed consent forms, or other mechanisms consistent with COPPA.

We limit the personal information collected from Child Users to what is reasonably necessary to provide the Service. This may include a username, parent's email address, and user-generated content.

We do not serve behavioral or targeted advertising to Child Users. We do not use personal information from Child Users for any purpose other than providing and improving the Service.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. We may retain certain information after account deletion as required by law, to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention). When retention is no longer necessary, we securely delete or anonymize the information.
User-Generated Content: Content you create in the Service is retained until you delete it or close your account. Deleted content may persist in backups for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
7.1 Types of Cookies We Use
- Essential Cookies: Required for the Service to function (e.g., authentication, security, load balancing). Cannot be disabled.
- Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences and settings to enhance your experience.
- Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the Service so we can improve it. We use services such as Google Analytics.
- Advertising Cookies: May be used to deliver relevant advertisements and measure campaign effectiveness. Not served to Child Users.

8.3 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

8.4 Other U.S. State Laws
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other states with applicable privacy laws may exercise similar rights. Contact us to make a request, and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
8.5 Communication Preferences
You may opt out of promotional emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or adjusting your account notification settings. You cannot opt out of transactional or service-related communications.

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. There is no uniform standard for responding to DNT signals. At this time, we do not respond to DNT signals. We will update this policy if we adopt a DNT standard in the future.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website, updating the "Last Updated" date, and, where required by law, sending you an email notification. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
